Traits, rarity and matched sets
Nothing. You do not need a wallet to read or browse this.
What you will get out of this
- Whether rarity should change what you buy - one honest answer
- What a rank is, which rank is canonical, and which is a view
- The five rarity classes, and why they are curated rather than computed
- What a matched set really requires
- Every canonical trait value, filterable, with its supply
The honest answer#
Rarity is real, and it belongs in what you pay rather than in what you get.
A rare gecko costs more because other buyers agree it is scarce, not because it does more. Every gecko earns the same holder role and runs the same journeys. So treat rank as a price input, and buy the one you actually want to look at. Nobody here will tell you what a gecko will be worth later.
What a rank is#
A rank orders the whole collection from rarest to most common, by how scarce each of a gecko's trait values is. Two ranks circulate for the same gecko, and only one of them is canonical.
The rank shown at galacticgeckos.app/gecko-rarity is the fixed mint-time rank and is canonical. Immortal-adjusted rank is an additional view, never a replacement.
Look up any gecko in the rarity tool.

Each class is curated in the dataset rather than computed from the percentage, so a slightly rarer trait can sit in a lower class than a more common one.
Matched sets#
A matched set is a set of geckos, one per faction, that share trait values. How many values have to match is a parameter of the search, not a fixed law. This site's own roll draws sets sharing three. Three is also the deepest match the collection allows: sets sharing four have zero instances.
Browse every trait#
Filter by category or search by name, and each value carries the supply holding it.
The trait vocabulary was verified on , and the per-trait supply counts were generated on , so the two carry different dates.
