Owning a gecko and being recognised as an owner inside our Discord are two separate things. Solana knows nothing about your Discord account, and Discord knows nothing about your wallet. Verification joins them: you prove the wallet holding your gecko is yours, and the server gives you the holder role.
The steps#
- Join our Discord server.
- Open #🔳 | matrica-verification, the Matrica verification channel, and find the Matrica Verification message.
- Follow its link to make a Matrica profile, and link the wallet that holds your gecko. Matrica is a third-party wallet-verification platform that grants our Discord roles, and it is not operated by us.
You sign a message, never a transaction#
After that, the roles come to you#
In Matrica's words, once the Discord account and your wallets are linked, "you will receive your roles automatically for all servers and Quests powered by Matrica." Buying another gecko into a wallet Matrica already knows about asks nothing of you. Matrica publishes no waiting time.
What the roles are#
Greenlisted is the holder role, and it is the one our own bots check. The welcome bot greets you in #holder-chat the moment it lands, and #🤖 | gecko-ai opens up, which is where the /gagmi concierge answers. The role follows the wallet, so selling your last gecko ends it, and buying another brings it back. A returning holder gets no second greeting, so check your Discord profile rather than waiting for one.
G8+ runs on its own rule.
G8+ means 33 geckos held or 8 complete faction sets. Staking is not required for membership, only for certain benefits. The Discord role is “GG Maestro”, assigned by Matrica at 32 geckos and without any faction check, which is why both numbers are in circulation; the group self-regulates from there. “G8+ Council” is a builder role for G8+ members who work on building G8+.
Whether the role is revoked when a holder drops below the threshold has not been decided, and we would rather publish that blank than guess at it. If you have sold down and think your standing should change, raise it with a moderator.
Holder tiers#
Matrica grants a role at each of these counts, on geckos held rather than staked, and they stack rather than replace one another.

GG Maestro is the rung G8+ rides on, so two standings sit above it.
If it does not take#
The Matrica Verification message carries four buttons.
Check Status first. It runs a diagnostic on your profile, confirming the wallets linked and the tokens held.
Manage Wallets is where to go when that diagnostic does not list the wallet your gecko is sitting in. Nothing conjures a role for a wallet Matrica cannot see, so adding the wallet is the fix.
