The words this project uses, in plain English. You should not have to join a Discord server to read a sentence about your own NFT.
Armory
An illustrated catalogue of gecko trait art, one card per value, hosted on galacticgeckos.io. It is a reference book, not a shop: nothing there is for sale, and nothing is redeemed or spent to see it.
Captain
The one staked gecko that all bonus CRED is routed through. It has to be on a journey to hold the role, you can hand the role to a different gecko whenever you like, and it is the last gecko you can unstake. See the journeys guide.
Concordian
A droid from the sister collection airdropped to gecko holders in 2021. 3,200 were minted and 3,197 are still live. Owning one is not required for anything, and it is not a reason to buy a gecko today.
CRED
A loyalty score earned by keeping geckos on journeys. It is a ranking number and nothing else: there is nothing to redeem it for and nothing to buy with it, the Armory included. It is not a token, and it does not trade.
Enigma Crystal
A second collection airdropped in 2021, to holders who owned a complete faction set at the time. Largely dormant since.
Faction set
One gecko from each of the four factions - Targari, Alura, Barada and Martu - held by the same wallet. Nothing on-chain marks it; it is a thing collectors count.
Frozen
Every gecko is a programmable NFT, and programmable NFTs are always frozen at the token level. A wallet or a marketplace describing your gecko as frozen is describing normal state - not a fault, and not a sign that it is staked or stuck.
G8+
G8+ means 33 geckos held or 8 complete faction sets. Staking is not required for membership, only for certain benefits. The Maestro Discord bot assigns the role at 32 geckos and does not check factions, which is why both numbers are in circulation; it is not a Matrica auto-role, and the group self-regulates from there. “G8+ Council” is a separate working group, not the same thing as G8+.
Greenlisted
The Discord role that marks you as a verified gecko holder. You get it by proving the wallet is yours with a read-only signature, which cannot move anything. See the holder-role guide.
Immortal
The one journey that never ends. The gecko becomes soul-bound: it earns at the highest rate and can never be transferred or sold again. This is the single irreversible choice on the platform.
Journey
A fixed-length lock. You commit a gecko for a set period and it earns CRED for every day it is out there. The lengths and daily rates are on the journeys guide.
Programmable NFT
A Solana standard, often shortened to pNFT, where the rules about transferring a token are enforced by the token itself rather than by whichever marketplace you happen to be using. Every gecko is one, which is why some venues handle them differently from ordinary NFTs.
